About the Event

The laughs are back to Buried Acorn Brewing Company when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Syracuse on Friday, Jan. 7. Paul Spratt is headlining the show and will be there with Jax-On , Becky Wiggins and host Mike Peters.

The show will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available online now and at the door, which will open at 6:30.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters.

Becky Wiggins is a comedian in Rome, N.Y. She’s a regular at the Uptown Theater and the Hub in Utica and runs the open mic at Chris’ Grub and Pub in Rome. A realtor in her daily life, Wiggins is always good for a laugh on any stage she touches.

A Syracuse native who specializes in observational comedy, Jax-On has spent time at the Funny Bone in Syracuse and New York City. He won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and was a finalist in the 2017 Utica Comedy Cup. The host of Jax on a Yak, Jax-On works all over the state, opened for Tammy Pescatelli in Auburn and was selected to appear on Amazon’s Comics Watching Comics at the Broadway Comedy Club.

An up-and-coming comedian in New York City, Paul Spratt has worked in clubs in the tri-state area and scored well in comedy competitions and festivals. Before moving to New York, Spratt began honing his craft in Scranton, Pa. Spratt recorded his first full-length comedy album, “F**k Yeah! Paul’s Here,” in 2017. He’s been featured on Comcast and Sirius XM.
